So much of our understanding of the Sept. 11th , 2001 terror attacks come from the images we saw through the media. Here’s a sampling of those I’ve posted in the past:
- Newseum Newspaper Front Page Archive
The Newseum posts the front pages of newspapers from around the world on a daily basis, and it archives them on days with particularly big news. It has four archives related to 9/11 - Sept. 11, 2011 (10th anniversary), Sept. 10, 2011, Sept. 11, 2008 (seven years later), and Sept. 12, 2001. (As of right now, most of the 9/11/01 pages are missing. Not sure what is wrong.) - Interviews with the Photographers of 9/11

- Richard Drew and the Falling Man
The AP’s Richard Drew, with his Falling Man photo, caught one of the most heartbreaking images of the day. The photo continues to draw controversy and speculation 10 years later. In September of 2009, Tom Junod wrote an excellent feature for Esquire that delved into the story behind who the man in the photo could be. - Jeff Jarvis – Sept. 11 retold through Twitter
Journalism professor and media critic Jeff Jarvis retold his day of 9/11/01 on the 10th anniversary with a massive series of Tweets looking back at everything he did that fateful day.
