Going to get started back today with some simple media news links – kind of going back to where I started here, with longer essays to come. (But no more hand coding of the blog… Word Press forever!)

GDT’s Frankenstien will get most of its viewership on Netlix, but if you are lucky you can see it at your local theatre. Out here on the prairie, our wonderful The World Theatre will be showing it this Friday, where I intend to see it. One could argue we hardly need a new version of the creator/monster story, but I can’t wait to see what the iconoclastic director does with it. Link above is to the NYT’s analysis of the film. The Federal Trade Commission had argued that Meta, owner of Facebook and several other social networks, should have to spin off Instagram and What’s App to avoid being considered a monopoly.
